Starcraft 2

Number 8 in line at midnight launch.

Number 680 in North-America to log on.

Send me you account names so we can all play. Still working my way up the Novice ladder since I'm re-learning Protoss (sooo different - so much more micro).

Looking for 4v4 soon.

Also discuss the campaign here - I want to know your thoughts since I'm still pretty amped about the last level in The Prophecy levels. So glad Artanis is now the Hierarch and Selendis replaced Tassadar as High Executor.

Also anyone know how the Zerg campaign will work now that the Queen of Blades is out of the picture? Wasn't she the one who was supposed to save everyone from Dark Void? And how the hell is Mengks working with Duran on Hybrids!?

Hutch, you may be right... but, you aren't able to throw rock paper and scissors all at the same time... unless for some reason you have three hands.

Diamond league players average 300 actions per minute - hardly boring.

Re: Starcraft 2

I beat the campaign on hard the other day. I'm really excited for heart of the swarm now. I want to see what happens next in the story.

my account name is Tyrshand and my code is 713

I play random and am pretty decent with protoss and terran. I dread it when I get zerg, but I can still put up a fight.

Honestly I'm stumped as to how a Heart of the Swarm campaign will work when there really isn't that much of a swarm left and no one to lead the swarm.

Kerrigan killed off the remaining cerebrates durring the Brood War so I don't see how they will be lead unless Kerrigan can somehow still manipulate them (not likely).

It's going to be interesting to see what Zeratul has to say when he meets Sarah - Especially after she killed Fenix and forced the death of Razshagal.

Also I'm pretty pissed Blizzard lied about Tassadar. He's supposed to be DEAD and he somehow never was... Blizzard promised he wouldn't end up like Medhiv in Warcraft 3 but it looks as though he's got some oracle-like role to play with Zeratul.

Anyone else get shivers when Artanis warped in with the last remaining Protoss and made his speech? I'm glad that's not how the game will actually otherwise I would have cried.

I think that those queens in multiplayer might have something to do with it. Have you ever noticed how you never see them in the campaign unless you count the one in that underground mission. (I cant remember the name of it.)

But I don't know how she's going to do her part to fulfill the prophecy when she's turned back to normal. Oh well, I waited 12 years for this game to come out, I can wait for an expansion.

The fact Duran and Mengks are working together on the hybrids will have a huge impact on the next campaign. I just don't see WHY Mengsk would side with Dark Void and the Hybrids when CLEARLY the prophecy was that Kerrigan would be killed by Tychus and the Hybrids would deal with the rest of the Terrans just before wiping out the Protoss. It's not a logical alliance.

There's also the matter of Alexi Stukov. He's not dead but rather was infested and then de-infested with Zel' Naga technology. Blizzard stated there would be ties to the UED in this game but so far the only UED-related content is the Spartan Company Merc group which are a mish-mash of UED Goliath pilots and pirates from the Port.

I just don't think that Mengsk knows that the hybrids are supposed to kill the terrans or that Kerrigan needs to survive. I'm speculating that Duran convinced him to help with the hybrid project and to hire Tychus to kill Kerrigan. The only people that know of the prophecy are Zeratul, Raynor, and Tosh knows a little bit if you talk to him.

I assume you took Toshs' side over Novas' when presented with that level.

If you chose Nova she actually puts a knife through the top of Tosh's head so it's safe to assume regardless of what you picked he's out of the picture.

Same goes for Ariel - if you chose to side with her she goes free on the colony; but if you're a Protoss player like me and sided with Selendis, Ariel get's infested in the lab and Raynor puts a clip into' her.

So safe to say those two won't play a role in it - although they've brought back "dead" characters before (Fenix, Tassadar, Overmind, Stukov, ect).

Re: Starcraft 2

i just finished the single player and have to say i was very disappointed. i liked how the original had a story arc throughout all three races and not just one.

Agreed the climax was a little over-the-top but I have faith in Blizzard's ability to rock out an amazing final campaign as they have in the past.

Re: Starcraft 2

New rig:

Two Samsung 23 inch LCDs (for dual play)
Corsair 750TX Series
Cooler Master Storm (Cobalt Sniper)
Logitech G15
Razer Lachesis Banshee
Intel Core I5 660 Dual Core
3.33 Motherboard
Ripjaw DDR3 (4GB) 2X2 Sticks
saphire Vapor X ATI Radeon HD 5770 (Factory overclocked)
Intel P55 Chipset
1060 RPM Cooler Master (5)

I would recomend the Storm Sniper tower for anyone looking to build their own rig - Never touched a screw since everything just snaps in place with ingenious shelving. It's the size of a boat but the Cooler Master system has 5 fans the size of my head and I have yet to see it climb past 31 degrees. I can cool my house with this thing.
